Situation 1
"What time should I'll be seeing you tomorrow?"
"10.00 am sounds good"
"Okay then. 10.00 am it is"
Tomorrow 10.00 am
"Where are you meh? You said 10.00 am"
"I'm on my way. Wait laah"
"I did my waiting, 15 years of waiting (quoting Sirius Black from Harry Potter movie). Naah, I'm just kidding about the 15 years. But I'm serious about you being late"
This situation we are really familiarize with it. But the situation doesn't really give justice to the quote I given. The dude was punctual but he was not late. Here's another situation.
Situation 2
"All students must assemble at the hall at 3.00 pm for a short lecture by Mr. Dane. Please be punctual."
Mr. Dane is a really punctual person. So I ask you whether
A. Mr. Dane will arrive at the hall at 3.00 pm
Or
B. Mr. Dane will start the lecture at 3.00 pm?
A student was "punctual" and arrived at the hall exactly 3.00 pm. She saw all of her friends already taken their seats and Mr. Dane is already on the stage!
Does she really a punctual person when she came on the right time?
Punctuality is not an issue specifically for one sided party only. Punctuality is equal to teamwork. It's hard to achieve if everyone is not giving their commitment.
So, if you are punctual it means that you're already late.
Well, this entry is a reminder for myself because I am ALWAYS tardy. I would like to apologize to everyone who had to wait for me because of my lack of conscience in time.
Here is a picture from 9gag that I understand by heart
P/s: that would be me :)
